“The best way to be a writer is to be a writer.”
National Novel Writing Month is upon us and for the first time, I am going to give it a shot! NaNoWriMo is a month long writing challenge where participants begin working towards the goal of writing a 50,000-word novel. Now, I don’t feel like I am up for that particular challenge (or convinced that I ever will be) but I like the idea of writing everyday for a month, working to a deadline and achieving a writing goal, whatever that may be.
Writing isn’t the strongest of my skill set and so I am going to use NaNoWriMo as a practicing tool. I am going to write a 500-word book review each day, using the alphabet as my inspiration. I have chosen 26 books that I haven’t reviewed before but really like. I have tried to choose books that show the breadth of my reading although this is challenging when you’re restricted by what letter the title starts with! I have a few letters to find yet but will hopefully have them by the end of today!
I will continue to do my usual reviews so keep an eye out for those too!
