Reader Requests: Young readers, advanced reading

There is nothing better than children who love to read. They are opening themselves up to so many different worlds. However, sometimes they reach for worlds that might not be appropriate for their age.

I received a message from a lady looking for some books for her eleven year old daughter who is reading at a fourteen/ fifteen year old level. It’s such a common problem and thankfully there are plenty of young adult books that are suitable for younger readers. I have put together a list of authors who write books that are appropriate for advanced readers without the teen issues and behaviours. Some of them still deal with issues – most books do. But these ones are great!
